September: Rest

As the leaves turn, so do you. Autumn brings about a slowness that counters all of the intensity that summer brings. During this time, you are called to go inward and check in with all of the insights and experiences you accumulated over the summer. What are you interested in cultivating and what can you leave behind?

This month will bring you closer to yourself if you allow it. You have a chance to make your inner world feel more like home and to create internal landscapes that feel like refuge from the outside world.

Begin by turning your focus toward what makes you feel safe, secure, and whole. Is it that early morning cup of coffee before the world wakes up? The bed time routine that makes you feel cozy and snug? Or is it the calm that settles over your body after a 10 minute mediation?

Bring the gifts of autumn into your life. Take comfort in the fact that all things have their seasons and that is what makes life so interesting.
