April 21-28: Judgments

Take stock today in how frequent you assume judgment from others. What if that was merely an illusion, a habit of mind that has taken shape only because you’ve put it that way? Where are you drawing these assumptions today? Why do you let your mind tell you these stories without all of the facts? As a practice, drop out of that headspace and remind yourself that you see only one piece of the pie. And that piece of the pie may be one from the past, overlaying itself over the blank canvas of the present. Your mind is not the enemy, but it’s not the truth teller either. Don’t let it be your only source of information.
