June 8-15: Splinters

Today you feel that tiny splinter of pain just beneath the surface. When you feel it, you remember where it comes from, but instead of staring at it idly, you remember you have tweezers and begin removing it. What is a splinter but a piece of something stuck inside the skin? A foreign object that got lost and took residency in a place it didn’t belong. What other splinters might you begin removing today? Can you lovingly take a look at your mind, body, and heart space and take notice of what fragments need to be dislodged so that you can heal? Today’s mantra for you: A splinter can be removed.
