January: Resolution, Resolute, Resolve.

As the new year beckons you with its tantalizing blank slate, you are beginning to examine the ways in which you want to fill it up. Resolutions only work when we’re committed to them, see their value, and make them attainable. They don’t quite stick when they’re too superficial or grandiose. The trick is to see yourself doing the thing first. Visualize it. Embody it on a level where you’re imagining how it would feel to be living the change you see. This month, ground yourself in the reality of where you currently are with where you want to be. If you can do both, you’re practicing the slow art of embracing change while pacing yourself. Don’t be afraid of change; It’s the not changing that we want to veer away from.
